More new hotel rooms coming to Midtown

A new 48-story skyscraper under construction in midtown Manhattan plans to house both a hotel and condominiums. The first 27 floors of the building will be home to brand new hotel, while the expensive condominiums will occupy an additional 20 floors. Despite the depressing economy, hotels continue to be built all over the city, threatening our union's density and the power of our industry-wide contract.
