Biggest hotel opening since 2002

The InterContinental Times Square hotel, with 607 rooms, is set to open this coming July, making it the biggest hotel opening in New York City since 2002. The 36-story hotel is the largest environmentally friendly hotel in the city to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the US Green Building Counsel. The hotel is located across the street from the NY Hotel Trades Council headquarters on the southwest corner of 44th Street and Eight Avenue.
