Yet another hotel planned for downtown Brooklyn

A new boutique hotel is set to be built at 231 Duffield Street in downtown Brooklyn on a block already laden with three other hotels. Downtown Brooklyn is one of the fastest growing districts in New York City, creating a high demand for retailers, restaurants, and hotels. Non-union boutique hotels are becoming prolific in the neighborhood, as in all the outer boroughs, and their increased presence threatens our union's density in the city.
