The Pierre Hotel updates its image with new dance club

Since February, the Pierre Hotel has hosted a dance night, called "Rumor," that has become a huge hit. This new event, featuring drinking, dancing and a live DJ, stands in sharp contrast to the hotel's historically reserved and conservative image. Held every other Thursday night in the hotel's Two E Bar, the event has been able to attract an unusually diverse following in terms of age, race, nationality, and sexual orientation, including both local neighborhood residents and hotel guests.
