Tavern sues City for extension of its time to vacate

The LeRoy family, the current operators of Tavern on the Green, are seeking to keep the restaurant open an additional 90 days beyond the December 31, 2009, end of their existing least term. They cited the need to make arrangements for auction of the restaurant's assets and to keep the restaurant operating during November and December, which are its most profitable months. The Hotel Trades Council is among the restaurant's creditors.
