HTC building goes green; enlists in program to conserve electricity

The NY Hotel Trades Council is doing its part to be an environmentally responsible organization and last year joined a program to conserve electricity. PowerPay! New York enables businesses to help prevent blackouts and rolling brownouts by cutting their energy consumption during peak demand and emergency periods. In exchange, PowerPay! gives compensation to HTC, effectively paying it to reduce its energy usage and act in an environmentally conscious manner, which is a win-win for everyone.
