Hyatt plans to spend $1.8M per room at new Park Hyatt

Hyatt Hotels Corp. is building a 90-story, 201-room hotel in Manhattan at 157 West 57th Street. At $1.8 million per room, for a total cost of $375 million, it is reported to be the most expensive hotel ever built in New York City. It is scheduled to be completed by 2012 and will include a ballroom, meeting rooms, spa, fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool in a three-story aerie at the top of the building.
