The Aching Dogs Theatre Company, the Hotel Trades Council's theatre group, is back for another must-see performance! Their upcoming production, the spring one act series titled New York Nuts 4, will be showcased at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street (between Ninth and Tenth Avenues), and will run from Thursday, May 20th through Sunday May 23nd. The show starts at 7pm on Thursday, 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and 3pm on Sunday. New York Nuts 4 is a series of seven short comedic plays written by a myriad of established playwrights, including the unrivaled Frederick Stroppel.

The Aching Dogs Theatre Company was created to support and encourage the growing number of union members who, in addition to working in hotels, clubs, and restaurants throughout the city, also have a love of acting, writing, directing, and/or working behind the scenes in theatre. The Aching Dogs is an outlet for members of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their passions in the performing arts

This show, an AEA approved showcase sponsored by the Hotel Trades Council, AFL-CIO, features a diverse cast of at least twenty actors and actresses from both the Aching Dogs Theatre Company and the Actor's Studio. Those Hotel Trades Council members whose talents will be featured in the May performance include Shelly Embers (Four Seasons), Valerie Brown (Tavern on the Green), Mike Rutkoski (Sheraton Manhattan), Nina Rochelle (Helmsley Park Lane), and Mike O'Sullivan (Sheraton Manhattan). Mike O'Sullivan's participation in New York Nuts 4 marks his first show with the Aching Dogs! William Joseph Brookes (Yale Club) will also be helping out with the show. Mary Godwin and Bill Rutkoski, who have family members in the Hotel Trades Council, will participate in the performances as well.

The production is once again under the artistic direction of Pamela Scott, the long time Producing Artistic Director of the Aching Dogs. Pamela, a playwright, director and producer, is best known for her Lunch Live! summertime scene events, as well as being a dedicated teacher and director at both the T. Schreiber Studio and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Between the talented, diverse cast and the experienced direction of Pamela Scott, this is a performance that is not to be missed! Once again, come support your fellow union members May 20th through 23rd at the Hudson Guild Theatre!
