Tavern’s last day busy like any other

NEW YORK - Boasting elaborate interior decor such as ornate chandeliers, halls of mirrors, stained glass, and deer statues, the Tavern on the Green has served millions of people in its tenure, located on the west side of Central Park in Manhattan. One would never know Thursday is the last business day for the extremely busy tavern. The tavern was originally a sheep house built in 1871. In 1934, it was converted into a restaurant.
